Big News at 3Dhealth

We are excited to announce to our clients, partners and friends that effective July 1st, Ron Flower will become our President & CEO at 3Dhealth!  Shane Foreman will continue as a shareholder and Senior Advisor to Ron and the team.  Given the exciting news, we thought we would interview Shane about the purpose and timing of the transition.

So, why do this?  “It is all a part of our succession plan that we began in 2019.  In short, we want 3Dhealth to exist well beyond my career and continue to offer our clients and industry the important work that we do.  We also want to protect and further our culture for both our clients and team.  We have built something very unique that will continue to exist for decades to come.”

Why now?  “We believe the timing is perfect.  Ron is ready, better than anyone in our industry at what we do, and our clients and partners already look to him for leadership, which was all a part of the plan.  At the same time, the team and the business are simply ready for the transition.”

Are you retiring?  “Not yet!  My plan is to work at least nine more years and then transition ownership of 3Dhealth to Ron.  Ron, Travis and I have considered every option and feel strongly that Ron is the best steward of what we have built at 3Dhealth.  Plus, we are having too much damn fun for me to retire right now.”

How will your day-to-day responsibilities change?  “The plan is for me to spend my time creating intellectual capital, developing the senior team, spotting talent, marketing and identifying new clients.  I am excited about my new role – it is a luxury to focus on what I am best at and enjoy the most.”

What should clients expect with the change in leadership?  “We believe that the transition is all upside for our client base.  Ron is known, respected and loved by our clients.  Our team remains the same and we continue to have the best approach, methodology and data sources in our industry.  At the same time, I can help drive constant improvement through writing, research and spotting new talent.”

How did you meet and first work with Ron?  “I met an extremely young and passionate Ron Flower at a cocktail party in Chicago.  I could tell immediately that he would be a great addition to the 3Dhealth team.  Boy, was that an understatement.  I lured Ron away from a career in education with promises of fortune and fame, and delivered on at least half!  At one time or another Ron has worked in virtually every role at 3Dhealth, which makes him an ideal CEO.”

How do you think about your legacy at 3Dhealth?  “My core business belief is that entrepreneurs must create something different that customers need, and constantly improve and evolve.  We have managed to bake this philosophy into everything that we do at 3Dhealth.  I have also managed to spot great talent and get the hell out of the way when the time is right.  We have a killer team right now and the time is right.”

What are you most excited about with the transition?  “3Dhealth is my baby.  I love that it will exist beyond me and my career.  It is beyond satisfying to know that this is best for our clients.  I am also super excited for our team.  Travis, Joanne, Sarah and Andrew are rock stars and will support Ron and our clients in every way.  On a personal note, my Son and Daughter-in-Law are having our family’s first Grandchild this month.  I am also hoping to free up some dirt bike and horseback time with Sutton!”

Please join us in congratulating Ron and our team for figuring out the best way to passionately serve our clients for decades to come.  Ron can be reached at RFlower@3Dhealthinc.com and Shane can be reached at SForeman@3Dhealthinc.com.
